MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATERI BARISAN DAN DERET BILANGAN MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PENEMUAN TERBIMBING DI SMP NEGERI 2 CIANJUR

ABSTRACT : Mathematics learning in the subject of Rows and Numbers is still relatively low because learning still uses conventional learning methods, namely lectures, questions and answers and assignments. In this regard, this article will describe the improvement of student learning outcomes which aims to find out how to improve mathematics learning outcomes with the guided discovery model for class IX C students of SMP Negeri 2 Cianjur which was carried out in semester II of the 2014/2015 school year for two cycles. Each cycle includes preparation plans, implementation of actions, observation and reflection (monitoring and evaluation), data collection. Data collection techniques through observation, tests/questions about students' motivation and interest in learning mathematics, students' daily tests/examinations. The results of the research show that the guided discovery model can improve students' understanding. There is a difference from cycles I and II, namely the average data is 57.50 with a minimum learning completeness limit of 68. Of the 44 students who scored above KKM/complete as many as 12 people. After being given the guided discovery model in cycle I, the average value was 71.43 with a score above the KKM of 28 people. In cycle II the average score was 79.39 and the score was above the KKM of 38 people, then there was a positive response from students to the guided discovery model.
