ABTRACT This action research aimed to improve the ability of teachers of SMP Negeri 1 Sukaresmi Cianjur Regency in carrying out the learning process in class with a scientific approach through clinical supervision, Semester 2 of the 2017/2018 Academic Year. The research method used was the action method (action research) in the form of School Action Research. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Sukaresmi, Cianjur Regency. The subjects of this study were all 25 subject teachers. The results of the study show that clinical supervision can improve the ability of teachers of SMP Negeri 1 Sukaresmi Cianjur Regency in carrying out the learning process with a scientific approach. Teachers gain a new experience in carrying out the learning process. By implementing clinical supervision, there is effectiveness and ease in implementing learning. From cycle I to cycle II, a significant increase in teacher performance can be obtained in learning activities at SMP Negeri 1 Sukaresmi. Acquisition of the assessment in cycle I was proven by 5 people (20.00%)teachers getting the Good category and 17 people (68.00%) teachers were categorized as Enough and 3 people (12.00%) teachers were categorized as Less in carrying out the learning process. After receiving coaching, in cycle II it increased to 11 teachers (44.00%) in the Very Good category and 14 teachers (56.00%) in the Good category. Teachers are able to carry out preliminary activities in learning activities well. Teachers are able to carry out core activities in learning activities well. Teachers are able to end learning activities effectively in learning activities properly. The awareness of teachers of SMP Negeri 1 Sukaresmi is increasing with their main tasks listed in Permendikbud Number 22 of 2016 concerning Process Standards.
