ABSTRACT : This study aimed to obtain an overview of the application of the direct supervision approach in improving the implementation of Permendikbud Number 22 of 2016 concerning Process Standards and improving the ability of teachers to implement the contents of Permendikbud Number 22 of 2016 concerning Process Standards through the application of the direct supervision approach at SD Negeri Panembong 2 Cianjur. The subjects of this research were high elementary school teachers (grades V and VI) of SD Negeri Panembong 2 Cianjur. This research is a school action research with two research cycles. The results of the study show that (1) the steps for implementing academic supervision using the direct supervision approach have been able to improve the implementation of the contents of Permendikbud Number 22 of 2016 concerning Process Standards at SD Negeri Panembong 2 Cianjur. These steps include direct coaching in the form of delivering coaching materials, conducting focus group discussions to solve problems, conducting class visits to observe learning behavior, and analyzing the results of observations. (2) The application of the direct supervision approach can improve teacher performance in carrying out the content of Permendikbud Number 22 of 2016 concerning Process Standards at SD Negeri Panembong 2 Cianjur. This is indicated by the better performance of class teachers and subject teachers in cycle II compared to cycle I.
