ABSTRACT

Principals have complex rules in their leadership in schools. Being a leader has both opportunities and challenges. Great power and authority can be a burden, but at the same time, it can be beneficial as great authority allows the principal to organize school members to achieve common goals for successful school governance.

Effective principals contribute significantly to an overall positive school climate and student academic achievement. The role of principal requires educational expertise, leadership skills, interpersonal abilities, and a commitment to the well-being and success of students and staff.
