UPAYA MENINGKATKAN PARTISIPASI MASYARAKAT DALAM PENDIDIKAN KESETARAAN
ABSTRACT
Padaruum village had a low level of education. This was evidenced by the results of data collection conducted, as many as 72 residents of Padaruum Village under the age of 30 years only received education up to the elementary school or junior high school level. This was due to the lack of public awareness of the importance of education. This research was conducted to increase community participation in equality education. This research was carried out in Benjot Village, Cugenang District, especially in RT 01, 02, and 03 RW 03 Padaruum Village using interviews, observations, and counselling visits. After conducting interviews in the early stages of the research, the community felt that education had no effect on their future. They were also not so concerned with education because of the economic pressure that made them more interested in working because they can earn money for their daily needs. Efforts we have made were by observing and directing visits to residential areas to provide education on the importance of education and to encourage residents to continue their interrupted education through the equality program available at PKBM Nurul Ittihad, Benjot Village, Cugenang District. The results after the observation and counselling visits were carried out, there was an increase in awareness of the importance of education, as evidenced by as many as 21 residents enrolled in Nurul Ittihad PKBM through student groups to return to continue their education.
